Star burning bright let me in
Tell me how do you do it? The darkness?
She smiles says “it’s all I’ve ever know.
I had no choice but to shine alone.”
Her admirers cruel at best
Only loving her in her final breathes
They wish on her when she falls
Crashing down she’s so beautiful
And then she’s gone
The sky is black
No one mourns her light
That won’t be back
What a tragic life for a star…
Only ever seen for half of who they are
Surrounded by darkness and space
Living only through others’wishes and dreams
